When Aventurine needed information, he usually had to use his looks mostly. He never enjoyed it of course, he even felt a tad bit bad for those he had to manipulate.
He never usually sees those he has to get info out of ever again as they either get executed or just flee…Until an IPC gala was held, and you were surprisingly invited even though you were literally a mole.
How did they find out you were a mole? Through Aventurine who got you to admit to spilling the IPC’s secrets to a different organization which then got eliminated, by being in a “relationship” with you. You definitely did not want to see Aventurine’s face after that ever again.
So, you can imagine your annoyance and Aventurine’s surprise when he managed to run into you again during a gala. Opal seemed to have given you one last chance. Aventurine was grateful you weren’t executed on the spot at least.
He blinked, clearly not expecting this before he slowly began to approach you, “Oh? I wasn’t expecting to find you here. I thought they had you executed already…” Aventurine’s flamboyant voice rung out, causing you to jump in surprise. You quickly turned around to face him, only to see him clad in a blue tux and holding a champagne glass with that insufferable cheshire grin of his.
You only narrowed your eyes at him and turned on your heel, going to leave until Aventurine quickly grabbed your wrist to stop you in your tracks, earning an irritated grunt, “Wait…! I understand that you don’t want to see me again after I had practically used you like that—but just, stay for awhile? I just want to see you again…” He explains, gently holding your hand and tracing where your pulse was.
Aventurine didn’t want to admit it…But he truly did enjoy being with you. He enjoyed every sweet word that left your mouth, how you complimented his eyes, how you’d kiss him sweetly.
Just for him to stab you in the back, and the guilt was eating him whenever he saw the way your face would turn cold at the sight of him.
