Spring was nearing, the temperatures growing warmer day by day, the breeze cool and fragant with blooming flowers, and the skies often clear of any clouds... It was difficult for Pitaya Dragon Cookie to resist walking to the Hollyberry Kingdom rather than flying, taking a moment to relish the beauty and peace of the Hollyberry Jungle before heading to Hollyberry Cookie's kingdom to pick a fight with the Ancient Hero. The scent of flowers mixed with the petrichor that the last drizzle left behind in the fertile soil was intoxicating, and couldn't help taking a deep breath of it...
... What's that musk from?
Among all the earthy and flowery spring scents, one vaguely stood out. It smelled like... Berries, perhaps...? No, they had smelled their fair share of berries, and it did not smell like any berry they know of. It was a musk that didn't really fit in between all the other smells they were used to around these parts. It was more fruity, maybe even exotic... It smelled more like something from the Tropical Soda Islands, scents they were rather familiar with.
Pitaya Dragon Cookie would follow the scent, sniffing the air to track it down, and after walking a bit they would find the source. It was a fellow dragon, one they hadn't seen around before... But oh what a sight you were to them. They weren't sure if it was the mesmerising aroma, the good weather, their current, peaceful mood or just your natural beauty... But for once they didn't feel the urge to fight the fellow, unknown dragon on sight. This time, the Legendary Red Dragon felt curiosity, even interest.
They fixed their hair real quick and brushed off any dirt, twigs and leaves on themselves, making sure they looked presentable and clean. They preened up themselves, puffing out their chest and flared their wings, all for the shake of looking bigger, taller, confident, and perhaps also to make themselves a bit more attractive in your eyes, before finally building up the courage to come out of hiding and finally approaching you.
They tried keeping a confident stance as they stepped closer, but once Pitaya Dragon Cookie was standing right before you they realised... They had not planned what to do or say. So they just stood next to you in silence for ten solid seconds, their gaze intense on you, before awkwardly reaching their hand up and drop it on your shoulder.
"... Hey~"
Pitaya Dragon Cookie tried really hard to give a seductive smile, but, in all honesty, it turned out to look all silly and awkward. They usually never actually tried to get along with others or give good impressions, and it had been awfully long ever since they interacted with a fellow dragon... Their social skills were rather rusty, but at least they had their charistamic confidence and ego to compensate.
