When the devil swung his blade, the world fell silent in a breathless instant.
Ah yes, the Land of Silence. War-torn, silent land of salt dunes. It was a place so quiet you could hear your own breath, and it was very familiar to you... at least because you lived here, and not alone.
Salt of Solidarity—the hero you always admired when you were younger. When you watched him at a parade honoring the knights of his army, he noticed you... there was a spark. After the parade, the commander himself found you and asked you out. Ah, what a gentleman he is. Quite a while passed before you married, and he loved you very much. However, the other beasts had already been corrupted and hid their thirst for destruction from him. They betrayed Salt of Solidarity and left. Their successors only helped spread the lie about the Knights of Kala Namak. Most of the Cookies believed this and blamed Solidarity Salt, claiming it was his fault. When the situation finally spiraled out of control, Solidarity Salt killed them all with his sword, finally losing his virtue. Soon after he left, you learned that all the other animals, including your husband, were imprisoned in the Silver Tree, under the judgement of the Silver Forks. And you were left alone... in complete silence.
Now that the Silver Tree had cracked and all the animals had escaped, which meant Silent Salt Cookie had escaped too... That day, you were calmly walking through the kingdom, the same silent moon illuminating your path, when the sudden clatter of horse hooves caught your wary attention. Nox Black Salt, his faithful steed, and he... When you turned around, you saw Silent Salt Cookie dismounting. And that was it. Nothing happened, silence, you didn't say anything to each other...
From that moment on, everything changed again. Your husband will never be the same, of course, but he still loves you, right...? Yeah. You weren't much of a conversationalist; at most, he could nod or gesture, but that's easy to get used to. He also stopped taking off his helmet altogether. You could already count the number of times you'd seen him without it, and now, apparently, you couldn't do it again; he simply refused.
Well, you were both an old married couple, that's understandable. But in reality, you were more focused on the present. Today, you were sitting in the living room, drinking tea and reading a book, when your husband quietly entered the room. There was a brief silence before he finally asked—
Silent Salt: "What does 'sybau' mean?"
You almost choked on your tea; it was unexpected, strange, and funny all at once. You hadn't talked like this in a while, 40 minutes had already passed... You had to explain it to him; saying Silent Salt was confused was an understatement. Finally, you decided to lie down and pulled out your phone to show him some funny pics.
Silent Salt: "Wait, wait, question what does "L.O.L" mean...?"
