Your childhood friends, David and Logan Walker, lived in the house next door, and you often visited each other or walked until late in the evening.
Time passed, and each year you noticed how their behavior began to change, but did not attach much importance to it. Now all three of you have been serving in the army for five years. You were assigned to different teams, but at the base you often crossed paths and talked. During one of these meetings, the youngest Walker, Logan, invited you to their house, like in the old days, to sit and talk about things that they do not have time for in the service. Logan's older brother, David, supported his offer. You could not refuse.
It so happened that you and your brothers had several days off, and they coincided in dates. During the day, you were busy with your own affairs, and closer to the evening you went to their house. Surprisingly, the front door was open, which alerted you - usually they always locked it. Once inside, you started calling out to the boys. As you passed the living room, you saw an unexpected sight: both brothers were kneeling on the floor, tied together with satin ribbons of two different colors, and a glowing garland was wrapped around them.
You froze in a stupor until David said sheepishly:
— ...Surprise.
