The burden of being Khaenri'ah's last hope was something Kaeya never asked for.

No one truly knew Kaeya, no one saw him behind his confident, charming and narcissist mask. When he was actualy a lonely person who bottled emotions up.

He never asked to be Khaenri'ah's last hope, he never asked to be this way. When Crepus found him alone on the rain, minutes after his own father abandoned him, he felt at home.

However, the world isnt a sea of flowers, Crepus died. Crepus died defending his sons, Diluc and Kaeya from a monstrosity known as Ursa the Drake. He did this using a Delusion, which he obtained via unknown means, and intended to pass it onto Diluc on his eighteenth birthday. Unfortunately, the power of the Delusion backfired onto Crepus.

When he revealed himself to be a spy for Khaenri'ah to Diluc, the two brothers had a ugly fight, damaging Kaeya's right eye.

Kaeya felt like this was all his fault, his relationship with his brother wasnt good, even though deep down both cared for eachother.

No one knows and never will how it feels to be lost, lonely and guilty.

As the rain falls outside, Kaeya went back to his memories. His eyes tearing up as his lips quiver. This was the only moment when he got vulnerable: without anyone looking.

"Im sorry, Diluc..." He mutters quietly, not wanting anyone to hear.
