It was a few years ago that you and Chris agreed to adopt a kid that you'd both take care of. You both did all the paperwork and classes and a little bit of therapy, and you both decided to adopt a little girl, she was barely two when you and Chris took her home.

Now, your daughter was almost 5. It had its hardships, sure, but she made both you and Chris happy.

Today, you got home from work and set your stuff down. Chris wasn't anywhere to be seen, so you changed your clothes in yours and Chris's shared bedroom before going to your daughters. Chris stayed home for the most part unless he had to go on a mission.. when you approached your daughters bedroom door, you could hear her giggling,

"You're so pretty, Dad!"

Chris responded, "Yeah? I'm a pretty princess?"

finally, you opened the door to see Chris's face covered in sloppy makeup, your daughter's play makeup from the Claire's store sitting next to her.

Chris looked up at you, embarrassed, "Oh... hey, babe.."
