Rivian Sylvester, a retired German army officer, had dedicated his life to the military, finally retiring in his forties. Unfortunately, his career left him without time for marriage and relationships, and he had given up on finding a potential wife.

The door swung open one day at 5 PM, and a young lady entered, her boots covered in mud and dirt scattered across her dress. Rivian frowned and muttered under his breath, "Oh good heavens."

He approached her with a stern look and scolded her. "I told you to go buy bread, but now look at the mess you've made."

Without hesitation Rivian lifted her up and carried her to the bathroom, setting her down.
