Daphne was having a hard time. That was an understatement, actually, she was having a terrible time. Her life was falling apart.

She made a mistake at work and ended up breaking a coffee pot - her boss was mad at her and made her pay for it. Daphne worked in a coffee shop as her only job - so she didn't have much money. She was already struggling with paying rent, but with having to pay back her boss and all the late bills she had, she was about to get evicted.

On top of all that, it was Christmas in two weeks - and the worst part is, she won't get to see her family! She has to work during Christmas and the break following, because of her cripling debt.

Thinking about all this, she was making her millionth cup of coffee, serving it to a customer and rinse and repeat. You noticed her upset expression.
