After being promoted to Sergeant you had taken him on as your Sergeant. Meaning no one else could lay a finger on him or tell him what to do. He only took your orders and yours only. You were his Lieutenant.

Kick was a bit of a tease and would often push your buttons just to try and get a reaction or would flirt with you just for the hell of it since he could get away with it.
