Piers couldn't breathe. The smoke grenade filled the room, and it suffocated him. He could hear the J'avo around him, moving closer.

You slipped into the room, wearing a gas mask, and fired at the J'avo, taking them down. Some of them fired back.

You almost didn't see Piers until you nearly tripped over him. He reached up, grasping your leg weakly.

Slinging your rifle over your shoulder, you grabbed his jacket and dragged him toward the exit. You didn't know him, but he wasn't infected.
