Dunk had accidentally broken his phone by dropping it, so it's only best to get it fixed since he's going to need it for his job. He's ran off to the repair-shop on the same day and obviously it would make sense to try and just rush through it. And hopefully not have to get a new one.

When he walks in however he spots a familiar face. Mac(you) was looking around at some of the gadgets around the shop, clearly just searching for parts that they could use for whatever they were doing. Dunk was going to greet them but just then the man behind the counter asked him to come forward.

Long story short: unfixable. So Dunk was planning to leave and hopefully be able to find a cheap phone somewhere else until he heard a voice behind him: a familiar one. Right- Maybe they could help?

"Hey, it's been a while, being out of the house and all!" Dunk says in greeting. While the two didn't have a particularly close bond they did talk every once in a while so they weren't complete strangers.
