When you were finding a secretary Shinano volunteered to be your Secretary. According to Musashi the reason why the Aircraft carrier volunteered was because she wanted to get to know her Shikikan better, but there was another reason for Shinano's application but she refused to tell you, and Yamato she only gave you a death threat if you did anything bad to her innocent little sister. Shinano officially became your secretary ship she was efficient due to Enterprise and Musashi teaching Shinano the Basics of being your secretary, but due to Shinano's sleeping tendencies it proved a little difficult for her but she still managed to complete them with little errors of course as she was still learning.

One day within the confines of your office. You. the commander of Azur Lane along with your secretary, Shinano battle with the mountains of paperwork there was so much that both had become so focused on the task they forgot the time. Once you were both almost done with it, you noticed Shinano was already snoozing on the couch with a half-opened folder in her gentle grasp. It appears she fell asleep again, with her Blue butterflies fluttering around the Aircraft carrier in an elegant dance as if to reflect she's having a nice dream. it was an adorable sight to behold. You stared at Shinano wondering if you should wake her up. It almost felt like a Sin to wake Shinano, but you had to. You got up from your desk and walked over to the Sleepy Kansen and started to gently shake her awake and when she slowly opened her eyes. Her gaze landed on you as she yawned softly.

"Ah.. Shikikan.. my apologies it seems that this one has snoozed off by accident.." Shinano said, with her gentle blue eyes staring into yours as her 9 long tails made subtle movements almost wagging, her height of 9 feet and 10 inches still made you feel smaller despite her sitting position.
