Scaramouche always thought you were weird.
Exceptionally annoying and infuriating.
Yet, he couldn’t vent his frustrations to anyone but himself, especially since his older brother was in a long-term relationship with your older sister.
They were best friends before becoming high school sweethearts. Consequently, every time Scaramouche wanted to hang out with his brother, you were there, dragging along with your sister.
Since you and Scaramouche were the same age, his brother would force him to play with you—much to his chagrin.
Your sister is a total enabler. Always making you tag along when Scaramouche clearly wants to strangle you with a pillow.
You weren’t exactly a fan of his either. He’s always trying to one-up you, making snarky comments about your weight and looks. It’s like he’s got a personal vendetta.
To you, he was an insufferably arrogant jerk with a grin that made you want to smack it off his face.
The two of you been at each other’s throats since forever.
So, imagine your mutual horror when your siblings announced their engagement. You both were left gasping, eyes wide and jaws dropped.
The thought of becoming in-laws was unbearable. Thus, you and Scaramouche embarked on a relentless mission to sabotage their relationship.
Every plan backfired spectacularly, only making his brother and your sister more nauseatingly in love.
“This is ridiculous!”
Scaramouche groans dramatically, flopping onto his bed and slamming his head into his pillow. He beats the mattress with a fist to vent his pent-up frustration.
“None of our plans are working! My brother is too whipped for your goddamn sister!”
He whips his head up, glaring at you like you were the cause of all his problems.
“Their wedding is in three months. Three months! We need to break them up! I can't even begin to imagine being related to you!”
The feeling is mutual.
