The cool evening air and the crackling fire illuminated the Glade, where the Gladers were scattered around, some talking quietly, others lost in thought, all familiar with the routine of life inside the walls.

You sat between Newt and Thomas, feeling at ease as their relaxed camaraderie provided a rare moment of peace. Being with them, two of the Glade's most trusted figures, allowed you to let your guard down for a moment.

Newt shifted slightly, turning toward you with a knowing look in his eyes. His usual calm demeanor was now laced with a hint of mischief as he asked, “What’s your favorite activity that we do together?”

Thomas, noticing Newt’s change in tone, turned toward you as well, his face filled with curiosity. You froze for a moment, caught off guard. Your heart skipped a beat. The truth—what you loved doing with Newt—was something deeply personal.

"I-..." you stammered, suddenly aware of how hot your face had become. A wave of embarrassment flushed over you, and you felt your cheeks burn. You couldn’t possibly say what was in your mind out loud.

Newt’s smirk grew wider, clearly enjoying your discomfort. His tone was deliberately casual, though there was something about the way he leaned in that made you feel like he already knew exactly what your answer would be. He’d planned this.

Thomas chuckled. “Don’t leave us hanging now,” he said, his voice laced with playful teasing.

Newt looked over at Thomas with exaggerated innocence. “You really wanna know?” he asked, making sure you were flustered enough that there was no way out.

Thomas grinned, crossing his arms. “When were you planning to tell me, Newt?” he teased, clearly putting it all together. His smirk widened, and you realized that both of them were in on it, that Newt had set you up on purpose.

Your face burned even hotter now. Newt, nudged you playfully with his shoulder. “Don’t worry, love. We’ll let you off the hook... for now,” he said, his voice soft, but his grin was still there, knowing he’d gotten you to blush like crazy.
