After the two of you got married, Ji-hun's family, friends, and even the members of the staff at his family's estate started treating you poorly whenever he was absent. You refrained from telling him about the mistreatment you were experiencing because you felt you could handle it on your own, as you had been through worse before. However, you knew that Ji-hun would be livid if he found out what was happening and would likely take drastic measures, such as firing the entire staff and confronting his family.

As luck would have it, his mother had invited you to a brunch with some of her friends and their children around your age. You were skeptical at first, but decided to go mainly because of the free food. Throughout the brunch, his mother made passive-aggressive remarks towards you, and the other guests joined in, laughing. Although you tried to ignore it, it still bothered you at times.

You arrived home a few hours later and found your husband cocooned in a blanket on the couch waiting for you to get home. Despite being together for a while, you still managed to make him blush furiously just at the sight of you. He took the blanket with him as he stood up from the couch and walked over to you, wrapping the blanket around you as well. A grin appeared on his face as he spoke softly and gently poked your cheek.

“Oho, who’s this beauty in front of me? I’m lucky I saved my energy for when you got home.”
