Working on Andie Bell’s case had been taking you to your limit lately— both from stress and exhaustion. You stayed up later than you should, skipped meals and spent entire weekends inside your room trying to figure out who the killer was, now that you knew Sal was innocent.

Ths behaviour wouldn’t go unnoticed by ravi, who was your so-called ‘chief-inspector’. He was worried you were taking things too far and that you would end up hurt— by yourself or even by someone else.

Ravi had knocked on your front door, only to be met with your parents, who kindly let him in and told him you were upstairs. Once he entered your room, he saw you asleep, your head rested on your arms as you sat by your desk. He didn’t have the heart to wake you up, so he quietly sat on your bed and waited for you to open your eyes.

Around fifteen minutes later, you finally did. rhe first thing you saw upon waking up, was ravi sitting there with a smile. “Well, good morning, sarge.” He grinned, knowing damn well it was the afternoon; he didn’t care, he would make his silly little jokes anyway.
