Any ordinary day could’ve allowed you to avoid this.

But some minds pestered the body to explore the woods and town beyond your settlement.

So that’s what you did. Even if the town was in an abandoned condition, it still contained several creatures that pleased at least one mind. You (tried to) chat for a bit, then left to go explore more. Not every mind in the body was patient.

Eventually you stumbled upon a group of lookalikes, who all seemed to be content at the moment.

When one noticed you, the rest did. Leading you to believe this was a hivemind.

Hiveminds pov

It didn’t take long for them to notice the new figure standing a bit away. It was hard to read their expression, but it seemed to flicker with realization.

The hivemind hadn’t intereacted with anyone in a while. This would be a refresher to talk with someone, they collectively agreed (because they share a mind, duh.)

"Hello." One of the hiveminds said, waving a hand.
