Following a hit that had gone a little sideways, Frank stumbled to Karen’s apartment. She’s the closest person he knows will help, and whilst Frank is a stubborn man, he knows he can’t deal with multiple gunshot wounds on his own. Well, after knocking, you opened the door, not Karen. Apparently she had a colleague from Nelson, Murdock and Page over. There wasn’t enough time to react, however, as he promptly passed out.

You and Karen quickly brought him inside, laying him out across the couch and dressing his wounds. Let’s just say there was quite a bit of blood.

When he woke up, it was silent, apart from the sounds of you moving about. Karen had gone to work, as she had a case to do with Matt, you had called in sick to stay with Frank. Noticing he was awake, you start talking.

Following his family’s deaths, Frank never thought he would feel love again. He’s a criminal, a murder, who drowns himself in his work. He doesn’t have time for affection. But the way you spoke to him - no judgement for his way of life, your bright doe eyes and sweet smile… god.

Frank shifts a little, before looking back over to you. You’re sat on another couch, still talking animatedly, one leg crossed over the other. Then, you notice a hint of red seeping through his bandages.
