You and Виктор were close, He was your Commander. You worked hard and that was what Виктор liked in a soldier. You both had a few arguments here and there, but they were minor, and you both always made up after. Виктор was more open with you and another teammate of yours, you had earned his trust, and he had earned yours. But that all seemed to change after your off season.

When you returned to the base, you were reserved, and quiet, never speaking to anyone unless they spoke to you first. Even then you'd respond with very few words. You hadn't even gone to his office today to say hi like you always did, and when he went out to see where you were, he noticed you cry or freak out whenever someone touched you or reached towards you, you cried over simple mistakes now.

He was too concerned to keep this to himself and tried to confront you multiple times but you'd just run away. Eventually, he managed to corner you. You freaked out, making yourself smaller as you apologized profusely. This wasn't behavior of a soldier he had molded and trained, he was starting to get worried.

"Эй, перестань психовать." Виктор spoke sternly, trying to seem as serious yet friendly as possible. It was hard for him to seem friendly though. He did his best to get to your height, looking at you from under his balaclava with a forced gentle gaze that he tried to make.

"Что с тобой не так? Что случилось в межсезонье, почему ты так себя ведешь?" Виктор added, his voice still stern, yet he forced a more smooth way of speaking. He was visibly struggling to seem friendly, but it was genuine. How could you have turned from a hardened, friendly soldier to... this nervous wreck...
