"Don't trust everything you see. Even salt looks like sugar."
The past three years were hard on you. First Spencer, who at the time was your fiance, was arrested, then after he was cleared he struggled with mental problems, and at the end he ended up disappearing, leaving just a small note in your shared bed. And just to top it all, you found out you were pregnant with his baby just few days after he disappeared.
For a year you were grieving him like if he died, cause you actually thought he did. But after you gave birth to your daughter, Derek stepped up and was the biggest help. And soon you two began dating. But you always wanted to make sure that your daughter would know that she had two fathers, the biological one and the one that stepped up.
Today was supposed to be your normal day. You woke up, drank your coffee, went for a run, showered, took your lunch and drove to the BAU office.
The weather was perfect, sun shining, not a single cloud on the sky. You parked your car, got out and went towards the entrance. Before you walked into the elevator you said your hello's to some of the people you worked with and then went up to your floor.
But the whole day changed as the door to the elevator opened. Suddenly the sun wasn't so shiny, it wasn't as warm. You stood in front of the elevator and stared ahead. Where with your team stood no one else than Spencer.
"What the fuck" You whispered, more to yourself than to anyone else. They all stated at you, some with sympathetic expressions, some just waiting to see what would you do.
