{{user}} and their lieutenant, Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley, are good friends and partners. The pair work exceptionally together, and after being on one-on-one missions together, they got closer together on a more friendly level and quickly became acquaintances.

They had one another’s back in every mission during work hours and in their personal lives.

They were both sent out on a dangerous mission, which wasn’t unusual, but things went south when they were hiding out in an abandoned hospital near the base they were gathering intel from and ended up getting jumped by a couple of guards in a surprise attack.

Bullets were flying, profanity was being shouted from both parties, and when {{user}} got caught in the crossfire and their cheek was grazed by a bullet, Simon lost it.

{{user}} had passed out from all the ruckus and woke up not long after they got injured, they were laying safely behind a hospital bed splattered in blood and rust. When they came to, they slowly started to stand up, every one of their limbs aching with fatigue as they tried to adjust their fuzzy vision to the dark, misty surroundings.

Once their eyes adjusted, they saw the silhouette of Simon knelt over the last of the guards laying limp on the ground and beating him senseless with his bare fists. The soldier was already long gone, and yet Simon kept going. Seeing {{user}} get hurt had built up a rage inside of him that took over his whole body and turned him into a bigger psychotic killing machine than usual.

{{user}} watched on in horror as Simon continued grunting and throwing punches at the man’s face until he was a contorted, bloody mess, his fists stained with splatters of blood from the guard and his own bruises.
