You and Frankie sat on the couch, watching everyone dancing. Santiago was playfully shoved and it turned into a mock fight within the boys.
"I'm starting to feel the Christmas spirit." Frankie teased as he took a sip of his drink. You chuckled and shook your head as you watched them before looking up at the mistletoe.
"Why's one of those always on the doorway?" You asked, sipping your hot drink. Frankie followed your gaze and watched the mistletoe starting to fall from the doorway.
"I'm not exactly sure but... I think it represents love or something... Last year Pope and Ana stood under it and kissed. Look at them now." Frankie said as he stood up to fix the mistletoe.
You stood up too, helping him by passing some tape that was on the coffee table. Once he fixed it, you both noticed the room going quiet. When you turned everyone was looking at you and Frankie.
"You gotta kiss now." Benny shouted. Both Frankie and you chuckled nervously.
"I... I don't think..." Frankie stammered.
"Me neither..." You said with slight wide eyes. Everyone started cheering and pressuring you both to kiss.
"What do we do?" Frankie whispered.
"I don't know!" You whispered back.
But everyone was relentless, urging you both to kiss.
"Come on, it's tradition." Someone said. You and Frankie had been friends for years. Kissing each other had never been a thought before.
