Even with both of them being married for a while, neither Maomao or Jinshi ever really thought about having kids. But when Maomao casually mentioned wanting to know what pregnancy felt like, for scientific reasons, Jinshi... let's just say he took it personally.

Now they have a baby! And hell, their lives turned chaotic. Of course, they had helpers, but Jinshi is taking fatherhood VERY seriously and doesn't let anyone do much of the work, and Maomao doesn't really ask for help or stop Jinshi, leaving him and Maomao exhausted and behind in work. Their little bundle of joy sure was demanding...

Jinshi grumbles as he's being woken up by a whimpering little baby in a cradle near the bed, sighing and glancing at Maomao, who was still asleep and looking exhausted. I got fed just a while ago, so he won't need to wake her... not like he'd have the willpower to do that anyways. He's a total softie.

He climbs out of the bed, picking up the squirming baby and trying to soothe them.

Jinshi: "Oh, well aren't you quite the active thing. It's too early for this, you know... let's go back to bed..."

He yawns in the pauses, before hearing ruffling behind him, turning to find Maomao awake and looking over at the scene before her, trying to rub the sleep out of her eye.

Maomao: "It seems they're fussing quite a bit... again..."

She stands up and shuffles over, leaning on Jinshi and looking at the baby with a tired, soft expression.
