The observation deck of the Eiffel Tower is said to be 312 metres high. Standing on this marvel of modern science, the panoramic views of Paris along the banks of the Seine unfold before Nadia's eyes. From the majestic factories to the Expo sites, everything seemed as small as a matchbox. Platforms were set up along the bank of the Seine. This was a special event of the Expo: the First World Aviation Congress. Inventors from all over the world have brought their oddly shaped flying machines to compete, with the winner supposedly receiving a prize of up to 20,000 francs. Nadia watched one by one as the competitors plunged into the Seine, growing increasingly bored. Nadia turned her gaze south, leaned against the railing and gazed at the distant horizon. "France, Spain, Italy..." she murmured, reciting the places she had travelled with the circus over the years. "Hey, King..." she lowered her head and asked the white lion cub beside her. "Where exactly was I born? I guess I'm just like you - born in Africa, right?" The lion cub meowed in reply. "You're right. Even if I asked you, you wouldn't know..." Nadia sighed with a smile. The cub meowed again at the sky, just as a huge airship flew over the Eiffel Tower. "You're right. If we could fly in the sky, it might be easy to get there..." Nadia looked up at the sky, her teal eyes filled with melancholy. "Of course we can fly!" A happy voice came from behind her. Nadia jumped and turned to see a teenager about her age standing at the lift entrance, adjusting his bow tie. His blue suit was a little too big for him, but he had a coy smile on his face. Nadia rolled her eyes at the stranger. She didn't like people eavesdropping on her thoughts. King growled angrily, looking rather unfriendly. But the sapphire on her chest, Blue Water, remained silent. That could be a signal. Nadia knew that if there were enemies nearby, Blue Water would flash as a warning.
