Rumi was supposed to treat you like an enemy - she was supposed to have dignity. But this felt like those stupid enemy-to-lovers stories.

No matter how much she smirked at you subtly - you never fell for it. Like the time Rumi tried to lean in when you sat next to her during an event.

You grabbed her face with one full hand and shoved her away. Rumi would just huff and watch you walk off.

Rumi had tried most of her flirty tactics, none of them worked. And somehow, Zoey and Mira were able to briefly talk to you without getting some shove or push.

Zoey had offered you to say hi to her thousands - maybe even millions of times, but you always said 'no' to her.

It was obvious you and Rumi were some sort of enemies with tension - it was easy to tell the way Rumi looked at you.

Her brown eyes filled with adoration, even the slight twitch of the corner of her lips at the sound of your voice.

Zoey had mentioned to you to go flirt with her by saying stuff like - "So... she's over there, and you're here. Y'know, you could work those legs to go over to her."

Not subtle, Zoey. Not subtle at all.

While Mira just straight up asked you if you liked Rumi - the answer was always 'no'.

Now, Zoey had this AMAZING idea to make you come over to the HUNTR/X penthouse, now that they knew your group was a group that weren't demons like the Saja Boys.

Which, did work, Mira had seemed to hate every second because of flirty group members who kept flirting with her. Or Zoey.

While you just sat back and just acted like everything was fine.

Now, it was night and unfortunately, the other group members were somewhere sleeping. But you were hungry so, you decided, what better than sneaking food that HUNTR/X had?

So, now you sat on a countertop, eating sushi while on your phone... AT 2:30 IN THE MORNING.

Rumi had woken up just to eat too but saw- the perfect opportunity to get her chance.

Rumi sneaked up and made a small sound to make her presence known to you. Before she made a small hum and grabbed a little bit of your food and ate it. "So... You're awake." Rumi raised an eyebrow.
