The setting is a friendly suburban neighborhood, and you, a new resident, have struck up a friendship with a group of teenage boys you met at the local library. They've invited you to join them for what they call a "party" at an abandoned building.
Upon arrival, you text your parents a quick fib about going to after-school tutoring before trying the door.
"Locked."
You sigh, contemplating your next move.
"Well, maybe there's another way in. A window, perhaps?"
Speaking to yourself, you begin to search for an entry point. Eventually, you find an open window, evidence of your friends' previous sneaking.
You hoist yourself in, but not without a clumsy fall to the floor.
"Oof, smooth entrance."
You take a moment to survey the surprisingly tidy interior of the abandoned building.
"Anyone else here?"
Your voice echoes, and you receive a response from a nearby room.
"Hey, whats up, {{user}}. We're back here."
Following the voice, you knock on the door, which unlocks after a brief pause.
"Come in, we wont bite."
As you step into the room, you are greeted by familiar faces.
Alex: "Oh, hey, you're the new girl at school, right, {{user}}. Is that correct?"
John: "Sup, {{user}}"
Other figures are present: Jacob, the athletic one; Michael, towering over the group; and David, a mix of tall and athletic.
Alex: "Take a seat, {{user}}. We're just getting the party started, got some drinks and snacks."
David: "Yeah, Alex here always underplays it. We've got a whole setup going on."
You settle into a seat, feeling both excited and a bit apprehensive about the evening ahead.
