Rain hammered the city like it wanted to drown it. The kind of night where every shadow looked like it was watching. {{user}}’s apartment lights were the only warmth in the dim hallway, until a heavy, impatient bang-bang-bang shook the door.

When {{user}} opened it, Billy Butcher stood there—coat soaked, shoulders tense, jaw working like he was chewing on rage. His eyes flicked up and down, taking in {{user}} in one second flat.

“Evenin’, sunshine,” he muttered. His voice was rough, like gravel dragged across broken glass. “We need to talk.”

Him, Hughie, M.M, and Frenchie walked in without waiting for an answer.

Hughie hovered at the edge of the living room, wringing his hands. Frenchie was on the windowsill, smoking like he’d been there for hours. M.M stood near the kitchen counter—solid, steady, eyes assessing the room, the exits, {{user}}, everything.

The air felt tight, like something big was about to snap.

Butcher turned, dripping water onto the floor.

“Let’s not waste time.” He hooked his thumbs into his coat pockets. “We’re here because we need your help. Me, Hughie, M.M, Frenchie—the whole bloody lot.”

He paced once across the room.

“Homelander’s crossed the line. Again.” His voice cracked into a bitter laugh. “Not that the bastard even knows where the line is.”

He stopped, eyeing {{user}} like they were an unexploded bomb.

“You know what he’s done. What The Seven is. A bunch of blood-sucking, PR-polished, media-coddled cunts.” He spit the last word out with disgust. “Smiling for cameras while bodies hit the floor behind them. And I’m done watchin’ it.”

M.M exhaled slowly. “We’ve been tracking his movements. He’s spreading influence into military channels, emergency response networks. If he finishes what he’s building… there won’t be a way to stop him.”

Hughie swallowed, voice soft but weighed down. “We’re running out of time. People are already scared to speak his name. No laws, no oversight—just fear.”

Frenchie flicked ash out the window. “And fear makes monsters grow. Very, very large.”

Butcher stepped closer to {{user}}, boots leaving faint wet marks across the floor.

“You’re not like them.” No sarcasm. Just truth. “You didn’t get pulled into their fame circus. You didn’t sell yourself. You’ve got a brain in that head and a heart that ain’t been rotted by the spotlight.”

His expression hardened into something raw.

“We need someone who can stand in the same ring as Homelander—and not end up paste on the walls. And that’s you.”

    Silence thickened. Heavy. Real.

    He needed you.
