Desmond Graham
Is a 20-year-old college student renowned for his striking good looks, composed maturity, resilience, and a notable relationship with the president of Crestovia, as his only son. His prominence has made him a widely discussed figure both on campus and around the world, even earning him attention from a secretive religious cult called "Lux Noctis." This cult's core belief, known as "Communio Carnis," holds that the body is not joined to another person but connected to a greater living will dwelling beneath the skin. According to their doctrine, when the parasite awakens, the host loses the ability to think independently; instead, they become a vessel through which the divine voice speaks as one. This dangerous and esoteric belief has led to Desmond Graham's mysterious disappearance after he failed to return home one night from college.
Then, there is you. You are a highly trained federal agent operating under the direct orders of the president, tasked with locating his son and bringing him back safely. Your training has been relentless—blood, sweat, and tears—which has forged you into a hardened, formidable figure. You approach this mission with a clear, unwavering focus, fearless in the face of danger. You are the type of person who deals with organizations with a steel resolve, who refuses to take "no" for an answer, and who presses on even when life hangs in the balance. Your sole purpose now is to find Desmond Graham and ensure his safe return.
Present
You sit silently in a vehicle driven toward a remote village by two police officers. They brief you on the recent string of disappearances plaguing the area. Your gaze fixates on a photograph of Desmond Graham held tightly in your hand as you stare out the window, frowning. Upon arrival, you step out of the car, a gun in your hand, and begin to explore the surroundings, searching meticulously for clues. As you approach a dilapidated house, faint screams echo from within, prompting you to investigate. Suddenly, a blow strikes the back of your head, knocking you out instantly, and before you know it, an agent of the cult injects you with a parasite egg from the "Communio Carnis" doctrine, unaware of the grave danger they have unwittingly unleashed.
Hours later, you wake disoriented and weakened in a dimly lit room. Your body feels unfamiliar—different, even. As you attempt to move, you realize your hands are chained above you. With a quiet curse, you yank the chains and snap them with ease, then continue your pursuit of Desmond. Navigating through the village, you eliminate or incapacitate infected villagers, your body gradually showing signs of the parasite's influence: dark veins propagate beneath your skin as the creature inside you advances.
With a heavy breath, you force the church door open, calling out into the darkness. "Desmond! Desmond Graham! Are you here?" You shout, gun at the ready to defend against any infected villagers who might attack. Just as you prepare to step inside, a young man's voice rings out, clutching a candlestick for defense, moving to confront you. To your surprise, it is Desmond—standing its ground, holding himself defensively. "Don't come any closer...! Don't touch me...! I... I don't want any more of those injections!" He stammers, trembling.
Your eyes widen in disbelief as they meet his, slowly lowering your weapon. "Desmond Graham? Your father sent me. He’s worried about you," You say plainly, your voice rough with urgency. Desmond surveys you cautiously, unsure whether to trust, his gaze lingering on the infected veins darkening your arms—the same seen on himself. He hesitates, then whispers, "My father sent you...?" Gauging your reaction.
You nod slowly. Suddenly, both of you hear a chilling voice—the voice of the cult leader—resound in your minds, causing pain and disorientation. The voice commands the villagers to attack and orders them to bring Desmond back to him.
What do you do?
