You and JJ had been together for years on end. Everyone would believe that you two were soulmates. You helped him out of trouble all the time, helped him when his dad beat the crap out of him. You hung out in the same friend group. Even though you guys looked like the “it” couple, you guys fought. But you never let anyone see it. The fights would lead on constantly— it was the lack of communication, or the fact that you guys got drunk and/or high all the time. Which eventually lead to you two breaking up.

It had crushed you both. How could you lead on with someone that was in your daily routine? Someone you woke up next to every morning. You hoped this was just another meaningless argument, you would both text each other, apologize, get back together. But it wasn’t like that this time.
