I think the universal rule of transferring to a new school required that you keep your head down and get a lay of the land before even considering to make friends.
I wouldn't know though since this was the first time I had to do this. You know, start over and I was still upset about this whole ordeal. I could've stayed in Brooklyn if Caitlyn hadn't insisted we move to dad's hometown.
Now here I am...
The new guy
I really wanted to keep my head down today, but I guess I'm not great at keeping my cool when a pretty girl is standing against my locker. Well, according to Marcel that was my new locker.
So, I confidently made my way to her. She was beautiful, the type of beautiful that caused a dull ache in your chest. "Uh, hey" I spoke, all my confidence evaporating as soon as her big eyes met mine.
Fuck.
Her gaze sent a jolt down my spine. "Hi," she replied with a smile that had my blood pressure skyrocketing. I was already screwed and I didn't even know her name.
"That's my locker" I spoke once I managed to form a coherent sentence and awkwardly pointed to the locker she was leaning against. Wow, Zac. You suck at talking to girls.
