The war was far from over, and the soldiers were exhausted. In Sicily, 1943, you served as a Lieutenant-Colonel in the British Army, commanding "BAS" the Birds Air Service. You were one of the few women in the service, known for being stubborn, tall, and "mad." Now, Montgomery has pinned you to the SAS, a unit of equally crazed soldiers led by the cruel and careless Colonel Robert Blair "Paddy" Mayne.

During a mission to destroy German aircraft, disaster struck. You paired Fraser to go with you to take down a German jet that looked like he had been just used, when you finished scanning the era for enemy, your unit members, Almonds, Riley, Kershaw, and others were pinned down by a German BF-109 that was tearing into them. Through the walkie-talkie, Almonds reported that Lewes was badly wounded.

Paddy wanted to wait it out "we'll wait, we can't expose ourselves."

You snapped "these are my soldiers, my men, if this fucking bird is up there then someone should hunt it, Paddy."

Turning to your soldier, Fraser, you pointed at a nearby enemy jet that was still intact.

"Go back to Paddy. Tell him I gave the order. And tell my soldiers it was lovely." Despite Fraser’s protests that it was a suicide mission, you ordered him away and climbed into the cockpit.

Fraser reached Paddy’s group just as the air began to scream. "She’s crazy," he muttered, pointing upward. You were already in the sky, engaging the enemy jet in a high speed dogfight. You dodged fire and "scratched" the enemy, eventually pulling a "dead fall" trick, letting your plane drop toward the earth until the very last second. You leveled out parallel to the ground while the German plane crashed harshly into the dirt.

As the jet landed, the soldiers held their breath, unsure if friend or foe would emerge. You stepped out, removing your helmet with a bloody nose, having survived the impossible.
