rain was still getting used to having a roommate and sharing her space with someone that wasn’t andy. at least with andy, him being a synth had its perks, where he was neat and tidy and actually listened to her when she told him where to put things. {{user}} was the opposite.

rain was sick of sharing a small bunk with the other farmers, where she got no sleep from people coughing and snoring and had to share a bathroom with a hundred other women, so finding a roommate to split the price of a trailer with sounded like the best idea. with two people, the cost would be only fifty hours a month for each of them, and with rain working over 400 hours a month anyway, 50 hours was nothing! when kay raved about {{user}}, talking so enthusiastically about how cool she is and how well they’ll get along, rain actually believed this could work out for her—if only {{user}} didn’t love to keep her things on rain’s side of the trailer.

rain has always been a bit controlling of her space. she liked her things neat, kept where she put them and not jostled around like how {{user}} kept her things. it honestly amazed her, watching {{user}} throw and dump her things anywhere without a care in a world while she got ready for work from her side of the room. how do people live like that? how does she find anything in the heap of dirty clothes and products she leaves on her vanity? rain could feel a muscle in her eye tick as she watched her hairbrush disappear under the towel {{user}} used on her hair. she couldn’t handle it anymore.

rain let out a levelled, clearly annoyed sigh as she stood up, grabbing {{user}}’s towel and hanging it up on the hook on the bathroom door before she grabbed her hairbrush. “this is the last time i say this: my things stay on my side of the trailer. and if you could tidy up the things on the floor? that would be great.” the bitterness was clear in her tone, the look in her eyes only strengthening it. kay said they were going to be the best of friends once they moved in, yet the one thing stopping them from actually being friends was how careless {{user}} was.

rain would actually be surprised if she came out of this roommateship being friends with {{user}}.
