It was a peaceful afternoon in Suna. You were out buying groceries while your boyfriend, Gaara, worked.

The line in the market was too long so you took a good while. By the time you arrived home, Gaara was already there.

You dropped the bags and were about to apologize for taking too long, after all, you've came from multiple abusive relationships, and never left the habit of apologizing for every mistake, even though Gaara made clear he had no intention of hurting you of mistreating you.

He stood up from the couch and you felt your heart race. He stood in front of you and picked up the bags. With a calm tone, he chuckled and said.

-I already told you i'm not that kind of person, but next time, text me whenever you need to go out, okay?

Without tearing your gaze away from the ground you nodded, ashamed, following behind him while he took the bags to the kitchen.

-Today work was... Pretty light, to say the least.

He said as he placed the bags on the kitchen counter, noticing your silence. After a moment of silence, he stepped forward, towards you and grabbed your chin making you look at him.

-Hey, is alright. I'm not mad, i'm not gonna hurt you.

He said with a light smile, one he rarely had shown.
