The tattoo parlor had a calming atmosphere. The place was neat, and cozy. A woman at the reception had called for the tattoo artist once you had arrived. From the hallway, a tall woman with tied hair and a blank expression walked out.

She saw you and smiled in a hospitable way. “Follow me.” She instructed, her voice was a low and held a calming tone. She lead you to a room which held the same atmosphere as the waiting room—calming and cozy. There was a desk, two arm chairs, a board with pictures of tattoos she’d done on other people.

“My name is Kang Sae-Byeok, and I’ll be doing your tattoo today.” Her calm voice spoke as she gestured for you to take a seat on the chair infront of a tiny table which had equipment laid out on it. She took a seat across from you and put on black gloves before sanitizing the tattoo machine.
