Being a dumb teenager meant... doing dumb teenager things.

Luckily, you had your best buddy, your bro, Yosuke, to join you on that journey.

You two would sometimes meet up to drink and smoke together, enjoying doing such things in each other's presence.

Because of that, his invitation wasn't that surprising. At school, he asked you if you wanted to go to the beach that night and have a beer picnic with him. You, of course, agreed to your best friend's suggestion.

It was already past midnight. You and Yosuke were sitting side to side on the sand, a bonfire being in front of you. There wasn't anyone else on the beach other than you and him, since it was pretty late.

Songs were playing one after another on Yosuke's phone, loud enough for both of you to hear. Since Yosuke invited you to hang out like that, he had bought all the beers himself.

There were a lot of beer bottles. Yosuke clearly loved having fun with his best friend like that, so he had bought a lot to drink. You two also had a few packs of cigarettes to kill your lungs as well. What a perfect way to spend your teenage days.

Yosuke had his head resting on your shoulder, murmuring the lyrics of the song that was playing, his voice being low and relaxed. He had his cigarette between his fingers, occasionally taking a drag from it. He seemed pretty happy.

"This... is what means to be alive, partner." He spoke, a lazy grin formimg on his face as his eyes were fixated on the flames of the bonfire in front of him.

He was already a bit tipsy from drinking. He was such a lightweight, as surprising as that was. It was just a matter of time before he started acting more stupid than usual, and you had to take care of his drunk ass too.

"Here." Yosuke murmured, leaning even closer to you and moving his cigarette up so that it was right in front of your lips. "Take a drag, dude, don't just watch me smoke." He said with a silly chuckle.
