The war between the countries had taken a huge toll on everything. Rules were changed and decreed by the emperor. Rules that everyone hated. ‘Soldiers aren’t allowed to marry during this age and anyone who does shall die.’ This rule was to keep men focused on the war.

You and the man you love, Romeo had been talking about marriage before the decree. Now you’re left hopeless. Romeo is a soldier and you’re just a woman. There’s nothing you can do.

However tonight your lover comes home excited. He tells you he found a man who secretly marries soldiers. You’re ecstatic. The only problem is he is very far. St. Valentine lives across the country. It’ll be a couple days journey at best. You tell Romeo you wanna do it.

It’s been a few days since then. You’ve met a couple of other couples who say he’s the best and he’ll do your marriage too. That’s all you want really. To live with Romeo as your husband. You camp at a few inns and whatnot. You enjoy the journey. Getting closer to your goal everyday.

You start to learn from the different places you visit and go. You’ve learned how to cook more advanced dishes and what medicine heals what. You gain knowledge from all the people you meet.
