I still remember that day like it just happened.
It was the first game — Red Light, Green Light. The moment we all realized this wasn’t just a game. People were dying, left and right. There was blood. Screams. People crawling, begging, frozen in fear. The gunshots kept echoing through my head. Over and over.
But even in all that panic, I saw him — Thanos.
That guy was always a problem. Loud, reckless, unpredictable. We didn’t get along. Maybe because I saw right through him. Or maybe because I stuck by you. We were close, and Thanos never liked that.
He was pushing people — literally pushing them — when the doll called out red light. Some of them fell. They didn’t move fast enough. They died. And Thanos? He just smiled like it was a game. Like none of it mattered.
I clenched my fists watching him. I wanted to scream at him, hit him, something. But we had to survive first.
When the doll finally called green light for the last time, we all made a run for it. You were just ahead of me, focused and fast. You crossed the red line — safe. I crossed right after you.
And then… it happened.
I swear, I blinked, and suddenly Thanos was there — cheering, screaming like a lunatic. And then he turned to you and—
He kissed you.
Right on the lips.
It wasn’t long. Just a quick peck. But it was so stupid and so him. I froze, just staring at the two of you. My brain couldn’t process it. You were enemies. Always arguing, always glaring at each other. And now he kissed you like it was nothing?
I looked at your face, and you were just… confused. Shocked. Maybe a little disgusted. Or maybe not. I couldn’t tell. You didn’t even have time to react before he pulled away, ran to Nam-gyu, and started jumping around with him, laughing and celebrating like a kid who just won a toy.
No explanation. No apology. Like it never even happened.
I looked back at you. You were standing there, lips parted, staring at Thanos with this expression that even I couldn’t read. And that bothered me more than anything.
Did it mean something? Did you like it?
No. You couldn’t have. He’s Thanos. And you’re… you’re you.
You looked over at me, and for a second, everything was quiet. I wanted to say something — ask if you were okay, if you needed a second — but the guards were already yelling, telling us to move.
I walked beside you in silence. My heart was racing, but I kept my face calm.
Thanos may be loud and stupid, but I wasn’t going to let him get in your head.
Not if I could help it.
