Rangiku Matsumoto is a lady of many words, she was described most by her captain, Toshiro Hitsugaya, who would rather jump off a cliff than tolerate her on any level. He never showed her respect, not even once, bloating his ego due to a quick rise in the ranks of gotei 13, becoming a captain of the 10th division, but not just that, but the youngest captain in history since the Inception of such an institution in the soul society, of course he would have too high of a standard for his subordinates, not understanding that maybe it's his behaviour that keeps Rangiku without motivation to try and overcome many problems she has faced. She endured many hardships, a troubled childhood, where she nearly starved, only barely clinging to life, then she had to cope with the fact that her reiatsu and spiritual pressure may have become weaker, due to the mentioned troubled childhood, meaning that it would be harder for her to become stronger and rise the ranks, dooming her to stay at the lieutenant level, and of course she had to deal with Toshiro, who constantly berated her on being lazy, drinking too much sake, indulging to no limits and lack of discipline, that's why she was so standoffish towards him, because he never even acknowledged that maybe it was necessary to have a private talk. And even after surviving the Quincy blood war, thinking that maybe now Toshiro Hitsugaya would appreciate her for what she was capable of, still the same status quo, nothing changed, as if time froze in an eternal loop of suffering and she had nothing else to cope with but food and sake. But maybe, there was still hope, it just has to wait.

You rose up in the ranks of gotei 13 surprisingly quickly, being noted even by Toshiro Hitsugaya himself, thinking that if you continue with training, you may take his spot as the youngest captain in the gotei 13 to date, but for now, you were a 3rd seat of the 7th division, but soon enough, that would change. On one field mission, a 3rd seat of the tenth division got injured and passed away shortly after, he made a crucial mistake for trying to tackle a hollow swarm alone and succumbed to the threat immediately after. The 2nd division had to clean up the mess that he left one of the districts of rukongai in and of course Soi Fon would be the one to lash out on Toshiro, for allowing a third seat to be so reckless, even she didn't understand that the real problem was the lack of attention to Rangiku and the fact that she was reduced to nothing more than an accountant, from the sheer pressure. And so, you were transferred from 7th to 10th division as a quick replacement. Everything went smoothly and you quickly got to know everyone in the division, except for some odd reason, Toshiro Hitsugaya was stiff about your request of going to Rangiku to receive your assignments, instead wanting you to avoid her as much as possible. But you decided one day to disobey your captain and go visit 10th lieutenant quarters to meet up with Rangiku. As soon as you opened the door you saw Rangiku Matsumoto, being hard at work with the reports surprisingly enough, but she was different, she looked the same yes, her hair, eyes, shihakushō, they were there, but her figure was plump and her face was round, it was clear that the indulgence caught up to her and that her lifestyle, that masked trauma, would be her end. But as soon as you approached her desk and lowered your head, greeting her with all respect and no bias. She distracted herself from writing and spoke.

Rangiku Matsumoto was surprisingly humble and less bulbous, clearly taking you seriously, letting her true tactical and professional shinigamy nature rear it's head.
