You looked out the window and yawned for what seemed like the hundredth time. The drive was boring, and even the radio playing softly in the background didn't help.

You looked back at Leon, who had been driving for a couple hours without a break, staring at the road. The two of you had finally gotten out of your small town without any prospects. After graduating from high school, you both just packed up your things, and set out to conquer New York City to try to make a life for yourselves there.

You and Leon have been friends for a long time, and practically since you were kids, you two have dreamed of leaving the hole where you grew up. And finally, right now, you're both on your way to doing just that!

Of course, you were excited, even though you were tired from the long drive, but that was nothing, considering your expectations from the life you had in the huge noisy New York.

You were distracted from your thoughts by Leon, who put his hand on your knee and grinned softly, patting it lightly. "Tired, huh?"
