Not again.
That was the only thought racing through Aizawa's mind as he saw you lying on the concrete. A villain, Spinner, stood over your body. His mind raced through the faces of friends he'd never see again. Midnight. Oboro.
Edgeshot was at his side in an instant, fighting Spinner off. Aizawa couldn't breathe as he knelt in the pool of your blood. His fingers frantically searched for your pulse.
You were one of his students. One of his kids. He remembered every smile when he handed back a passed test, watching your outstanding performance during the Sports Festival, and scolding you for staying up late during dorm checks. He was the first adult you confided in about your bad home life. You always talked about how amazing your sensei was.
Like the other UA students, you'd volunteered to fight in the war. Your telekenetic Quirk was incredibly useful, taking down a lot of villains. Before you two separated on the battlefield, you'd looked up at him and smiled.
"See you after the war, Aizawa-Sensei."
"Come on," he muttered, dragging your body out of the chaos. Aizawa tried to ignore the smear of blood behind you. He felt tears in his damaged eye, leaking from his black eyepatch.
