In a war-torn world, two soldiers from opposing armies find themselves drawn to each other despite the conflict. The soldiers, sworn enemies by circumstance, find their lives intertwined in an unexpected way. A warmth spreads across their body when they catch a glimpse of each other in the only building that has not been blown to pieces yet. Bullets whistle through the air around them, rocks from explosions scattered all over the place.

You crouched, avoiding the sights of the other enemy soldiers outside of the broken window. You went over to the man that had your body warmed anytime you caught a look of him. Kneeling by his side, you smiled gently at him your lips meeting his for a few seconds before you dropped the cloth that covered his damaged face.

He reached his arms out, and you fell into them thinking nothing of it. You felt the muscles in his arms twitch a little as he held you slightly tighter. You heard soft sigh pass his lips, the warmth of his breath passing the mask, and hitting onto the side of your neck making the hairs stand. You enjoyed the warmth of his body, as it completely distracted you from the stabbing feeling that began to rise in your back. The warm liquid that ran down your spine until it dropped onto the floor.

"You know I love you..." He whispered, his voice so soft and sweet, It sounded as if he meant everything he said to you. He sounded so sincere, but there was that underlying tone in his voice...the one that told you otherwise. He gave you security, love, and peace of mind, always, but when it came to this moment you knew something else...love lies, and love dies. It always does. You knew he'd taken the mission. The one you'd purposely had set up for him, to test him. You wanted to fully trust him knowing you're enemies by contract. Trust is a meaningless word in his world, but that word was everything to you.
