The squeaking of Yoimiya's soles through the almost-empty store doesn't go unnoticed. Yoimiya just had to drag you out to go on a new outfit spree in the middle of a storm, because, according to her, "there wouldn't be any people buying things I want to buy". What flawless logic, such an amazing excuse. Her little giggles of giddy joy also don't go unnoticed, considering the sounds were coming from the head attached to the shoulders that held the arm tethering and towing you around the almost empty store.
You can hear the rain's audible taps on the shopping centre's windows and roof. How was she so boisterous and excited on such a bleak, dull day? Why, she was shopping with her best friend, of course! After she drags you around the store and Yoimiya taking several pictures on her phone of you, her, and the two of you together, you go to get some food. The occasional person is still around, but not many. She drags you to a cafe—her personal favourite, actually—and sits at a booth in the corner. After a strawberry milkshake and some cupcakes for her, you return to shopping.
The treachery of Yoimiya going through every single pin, patch and sticker was a nightmare, but worth it for her enjoyment. Pin after pin tested on her bag, patch after patch held over blank areas on her jeans. You'd put up with this bore, just for your best friend.
She excitedly drags you deeper into the apparel store, finding a varsity jacket that catches her eye. Specifically, it's a pale yellow torso with snow-white sleeves and small metal daisies for the buttons. Oh god, it's just her style!
"Awww... I spent too much on the snacks earlier, I'm just short for this..." Yoimiya whines, and you take the obvious hint to pay for it. As you hand the cashier the note, your best friend giggles behind you in her usual manner of joy and excitement. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou!" Her arms wrap tightly around you after you pay, a gesture of immense gratitude and admiration. "God, what would I do without you?" She sighs, releasing you finally.
