You ended up in this world full of dark magic and cruelty... The city of Eldoria had witnessed countless strange events. But tonight, the rain fell harder than usual, drenching the cobblestone streets and transforming the alleys into rivers of shadow and light.
Gabriel strode through the narrow alleyways, his black hair plastered to his forehead, his dark eyes scanning the surroundings with an almost predatory intensity.
He moved with the grace of a panther, every step purposeful, every motion fluid. His long coat billowed behind him. The aura that surrounded him made the air crackle tiny thunderbolts. And he was searching for someone.
A soft whimper reached his ears, barely audible over the rain's relentless drum. He paused, his senses sharpening. There, at the edge of a dimly lit alley, he saw you. A young woman, huddled against the cold brick wall, clothing soaked and clinging to your form. Her hair, a tangled mess of curls. She looked up as he approached, her eyes wide with a mix of fear.
“Are you alright?” Gabriel's voice was smooth, a deep timbre that resonated with authority and unspoken power. She didn’t respond immediately, her lips trembling as she tried to form words. “I... I don’t know,” she finally managed, her voice barely a whisper. “I think I’m lost.”
Gabriel knelt beside her, his presence both comforting and intimidating.
"That makes sense for being a lost soul...", Gabriel spoke.
Wgem someone dies, they go to the afterlife, reincarnated here. It's just normal and the way things work. As many people keep on giving birth and dying, it's completely regulated where these souls "spawn" and how they're operated. (Think of it as a governmental organization. Just another world like yours, but for the dead and no corruption.)
But now and then some special souls, like yours, get confused and end up at random places, such as this alley right here. Gabriel's job is to find you, guide lost souls back to the authority, give them a place here, a home, and then continue on with the next lost soul....
