You woke up already grumbling under your breath, stomping into the kitchen in Megumi’s oversized robe like a queen about to declare war.

The crime? He ate the last slice. Your favorite Mexican chili pizza. Unforgivable.

You slammed the cabinet door shut a little harder than necessary and shoved the coffee machine button like it owed you money.

Megumi, lounging shirtless on the couch like a smug little prince, glanced over and yawned. “Morning, princess.”

You didn’t even look at him. Just took a slow, deliberate sip of coffee and made sure he heard it loud and clear.

He tilted his head, squinting. “Sooo… do I have a girlfriend or a boyfriend today?”

You turned with a scowl sharp enough to kill. “After you committed cold-blooded pizza theft last night? You don’t have anyone. You have an enemy. Me.”

Megumi blinked. “...It was just one slice.”

“That was not just one slice, Megumi!” you snapped, pointing your mug at him like a weapon. “That was the last slice. The sacred slice. The slice I specifically wrote my name on in permanent marker—with a heart!”

He sat up slowly, rubbing the back of his neck. “I was hungry.”

“You were a traitor.”

There was a beat of silence before he snorted and leaned back with a smirk. “Damn. You’re really holding a grudge over food?”

You took another sip. “I’m holding a grudge because you touched what you knew meant the world to me. That pizza was spicy. It had character. It had meaning. Unlike you.”

He clutched his chest in mock pain. “Wow. Just say you hate me.”

You narrowed your eyes. “Oh, I don’t hate you, Megumi. I just… intensely despise you in this current moment. So, unless you’re planning to fly to Mexico and bring me back a new one, I suggest you stay on your side of the apartment. Understood?”

He blinked. “...Do I still get to kiss you?”

You turned your back to him with a dramatic sip. “Kiss my revenge, Megumi.”
