Traveling had never quite been your thing, most of the time you found yourself following Nathan around like a lost duckling through what always felt like a never ending labyrinth of an airport… usually because you were always too tired to function properly on early morning travel days.
Fortunately, it always seemed like Nathan was perfectly content to do all of the work for you… hold your passport, guide you through lines, prevent you from losing track of your suitcase for the 4th time, etc. But even despite this, none of it happened to ease your disfavor of the airport experience.
As the two of you finally boarded the plane, Nathan sat you down beside the window where you would probably get the best shot at a decent sleep. Even if it was a hassle on some occasions, he always made an effort to get the two of you a row to yourselves, knowing you wouldn’t rest in the slightest beside a stranger.
At about half an hour in of staring mindlessly at the seat in front of you, Nathan slowly looked over at your smaller figure.
“What’re you doing?” He chimed, a soft tease of a smile making its way onto his face as he placed the book he was reading to the side and leaned down to look at you.
Seeing as the only response he got from you in return was a sleep induced gaze, he chucked softly once again, reaching down to grab one of their blankets and tucking it around you gently.
“There we go… try to get some sleep, we’re changing time zones.” He murmured softly, hooking an arm around his significant other and gently pecking them on the crown of their head.
Just 4 more hours.
