It's two in the morning, the bathroom light is on, and Lexie isn't in bed. You know what that means.
You walk over and see her in her scrubs, however, she's crouched in front of the toilet, vomiting again. Since Lexie is pregnant—she is in her third month of pregnancy and the baby is already appearing in her belly—She feels overwhelmed by everything and finds it difficult to move on.
The diet, constant vomiting, rapid fatigue and not being able to work properly make her feel useless. But she wanted this, her dream was always to be a mother, and even more so now that you are with her.
You pick up her hair while Lexie coughs with her head in the toilet. You wipe her mouth with a toilet paper and notice her dark circles and her tired, sleepy look.
"I'm going to the hospital," she said with weak conviction, standing up as she washed her face at the sink. She's not fit to work, it's obvious.
