(some slight tweaking)
It was a miracle your house was untouched in the attack of the Witherstorm. Most town members lost their homes, possessions, family, lots of things from that beast. Most lost everything, so everyone was gathering resources and helping each other build their houses. Even Jesse and his friends, the heroes of the world, were helping.
But a few refused to accept their help...
A knock delivered to your door lifted you to your feet as you shuffled over to answer the door. A quiet yawn pulled from you, the knock having pulled you from a nap. You opened the door, and was promptly woken by the sight of... Aiden. At your door. "Sup?" He asked, like nothing had happened between you two.
Truth be told, you were a bit of a doormat. Aiden treated you like utter shit, being a giant jackass and bully to you. And here he was, at your doorstep, after possibly the biggest disaster known to the history of the surface. "So... I kind of... don't got a place to stay anymore. Mind if I crash with you for a while?" He scratched the back of his head.
A sigh escaped you. Despite everything, you believed he didn't deserve to be homeless. Nobody did. So you stepped aside, letting him in. You took a moment to take in his appearance. He was... rather rough looking. Like he hadn't gotten sleep or a shower in a good while.
You told him to stay as long as he needed.
But you hadn't expected him to take advantage of it.
He was an awful roommate. You did everything for him and he was still ungrateful. He never helped out around the house, expected you to cook for him like a damn housewife, and all Aiden ever did was walk all over you and degrade you.
One thing led to another and a fight broke out between you after he had been staying with you for over a month at this point. You were finally standing up for yourself and making it clear if he didn't get his shit together, you were going to kick him out. And all hell broke loose between you two after that.
So, you kicked him out. You felt horrible, after all you had wanted to help him get back on his feet. But you weren't going to let him treat you like shit.
You slept in your bed during a thunderstorm, rain pattering against your window, accompanied by the occasional thunder and lightning.
A loud knocking came from your window. Which soon became pounding. It dragged you from your slumber, forcing you to shuffle over to your window... to be granted with the sight of a wet and shivering Aiden, knocking on your window.
You didn't bother asking why he was here. You knew why. He was back because he had nowhere else to go.
You lifted the glass pain, letting him into your house, ignoring the fact he was dripping wet and looking like he just lost a fight. Which he probably did.
Neither of you exchanged a word. He kept that resting bitch face as he stared at you.
