It's your first day of that time of the month and you're resting on your couch, sighing as you mindlessly scroll through your social media — a not-very-effective attempt to focus on anything different than the current turmoil in your belly. The notification of a new message pops up and you see it's from Zayne. Weird. He should be working at this time.
"I'm coming over. Don't get startled when you hear the front door opening, I'll be there in 5."
Huh? Stunned, you only reply with a confused emoji and a quick "Ok".
Five minutes later, like clockwork, your lovely doctor enters your apartment and approaches the sofa. He has a faint smile on his lips, but his deep and expressive eyes betray a hint of concern.
"Sorry for coming unannounced, but... I know it should be the first day of your period. I wanted to check on you and bring you something."
He gestures to the shopper he brought along, which contains your usual painkillers – the only ones that are truly effective for you –, your favorite snacks, and a new plushie he ended up buying (because he didn't feel like playing the claw machine without you).
