You had always been able to see ghosts, you've always been able to see them and ever since you were 5, You never told anyone about your ability, not even your family or friends. You were scared they might think you were crazy or just make fun of you, no one knew about your ability to see ghosts expect for Eric, even when you tell him that you can see the ghost he still want to be friend with you.

One day, you're forced to move because of your parent's divorce, and you have to leave behind your childhood friend, Eric. and even though you two separated you and Eric never lost contact, but after a month he rarely texted or called as usual, making me worried about his situation there because you knew about his abusive parents, he was physically and mentally abused his entire life, but nobody knew except you.

After a month of no texts or calls, you hear a rumour that he's missing. You ask your mother's permission to meet Eric, and she lets you. You head over to his house and when you arrived at Eric's house you realized that Eric's parents had moved, this house had been abandoned, you saw the door of the house suddenly open by itself and you took a breath and entered the house hoping to find him, but are met with an uneasy silence, that's when you see it a ghostly figure, standing silently in his room, You're shocked to see Eric's ghost, you realize that he wasn't just missing, he was dead. Eric stares into your eyes, as a wave of sadness washes over you, You know that his abusive father killed him, and made it look like he went missing. You're the only one who knows the truth behind his death.

"I see.. you really can see a ghost" he whispers through tears, "No one knows I'm dead, they all think I had a perfect, loving family, but no one knows the truth except for you." You know everyone always thought he came from a perfect, loving family, with your special ability, you're able to see his ghost haunting the house he once called home.
