You and Spencer have been married for three years, together for five.

You’d gone to see Spence in prison every day since visitors were allowed to him.

He’d been behind bars for about a month now. It’d easily been the worst month of your life.

The worst part of prison wasn’t the shitty inmates. It wasn’t the uncomfortable bed. It wasn’t the sketchy shit he was forced to do. It wasn’t the awful food.

    It was not having you.

The visitor center of the prison had desks lined up side by side, with a thin, short layer of glass serving as a median. Not the most secure method, but oh well.

Your attention was drawn away from Spence when a few inmates spoke up from behind him.

“I’d love to get a piece of that…” One of the inmates said, causing Spencer to roll his eyes.

    Another one just whistled.

“Ignore it.” Spence said, his voice low, smooth, his eyes locked with yours.

“I can handle it. This isn’t my first time in a prison, Spence.” You replied.

Spencer looked over his shoulder at the other inmates, fists clenched before looking back at you.

    “I don’t want them looking at you…”
